About the Triangle
Situated in the heart of North Carolina, the Triangle is one of the nation’s fastest growing areas. It has received numerous accolades from national publications as one of the country’s best places to live and work. To the west of the Triangle lie the majestic Blue Ridge and Great Smokey Mountains and, to the east, a historic strand of barrier islands and miles of white sandy beaches.
The Triangle is formed by the joining of three unique communities: Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. These three geographic points originally referenced the area within the parameters of three major area universities -Duke, North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
There are many towns and communities that make up the triangle area. See the following links for information about which area of the triangle is right for you.
